The IMESS Students

IMESS was awarded Erasmus Mundus status in 2006 and in 2007 the first cohort of students arrived in London to begin the programme at UCL. These students have now completed the IMESS programme and we are preparing to welcome a new cohort of 30 students in September 2009.

Current and future students should consult the IMESS Student Handbook and look out of the IMESS Alumni Association launch later this year.

IMESS end of year celebration!

Our first 2 cohorts of students represened 23 different countries (Belarus, Canada, China, Estonia, Germany, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Montenegro, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, United Kingdom and United States) and come from diverse academic backgrounds (Economics, Business, Management, Politics, International Relations, History, Literature and Cultural Studies).

Incoming and current students

From the start of the IMESS programme, until graduation, all IMESS students are given access to the consortium's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), hosted within Moodle. Moodle provides a password protected forum that provides tools for content delivery, communication and collaboration, assessment and evaluation.

The IMESS Alumni Association

IMESS students are not only a part of the IMESS consoritum universities but are also a part of the wider family of Erasmus Mundus programmes and as such we are currently developing an IMESS Alumni website (to be launched during 2009) that will sit within the broader framework of the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association (EMA).

Further details can be found in the IMESS Student Handbook.
